The Student Ambassador Program at Arlington High School seeks to inspire students through leadership development. Student Ambassadors are representatives of the student body. Ambassadors will interact and engage prospective students in the community to gain critical leadership skills, while also promoting AHS. Ambassadors provide support to the school by hosting special visits, special events, and community service projects.
A position as an AHS Student Ambassador is one of high esteem and a source of self-enrichment. Student Ambassadors strive to be role models within the high school and community. In doing so, they enjoy the benefits of opportunities to network with community and civic leaders and build their portfolio of experience needed as they look to their futures.
To be considered for the AHS Ambassador Program, candidates must complete a student Ambassador membership application and submit the materials by Thursday, September 15, 2016. The AHS Student Ambassador position lasts one full year (August to May). To maintain their position in the program, Student Ambassadors must maintain an overall AHS GPA of 3.0 and complete required Leadership, Professional, and Community Activities.

- Welcome and greet public at AHS events.
- Provide various services to the school.
- Develop an expanded knowledge of Arlington High School.
- Conduct campus tours for guests.
- Represent AHS during special events.
- Assist with duties and tasks related to events put on by various Community organizations.
- Work with diverse populations and provide tips on being a successful student.
- Maintain appearance and exemplify professionalism.
- All other duties as assigned.

Becoming a Student Ambassador Qualifications
- Must be a currently enrolled Arlington High School student.
- Must have a quarterly and cumulative GPA of at least 3.0.
- Position has a one academic year commitment. (Fall 2016 - Spring 2017)
- Demonstrate strong communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.
- Exhibit leadership, initiative, dependability, discipline and enthusiasm.

- Complete the Student Ambassador Application
- Turn in $15 membership fee to Ms. Perry, AHS Ambassador Advisor in Room 202. which includes an AHS Ambassador t-shirt. Returning AHS Ambassadors who have the Ambassador navy t-shirt from last year pay $10.
- Attend 1st Ambassador meeting to be announced during the month of August.
